Principles
The principles for this are as follows:
Commitment
Commitment to society is important. We are therefore pleased to support the following causes.
The Dutch charity Child Surgery Vietnam helps children in Vietnam with a physical handicap. Many children suffer unnecessarily from a handicap. Within 10 years orthopaedic and plastic surgery for all those who require it must be possible. Child Surgery Vietnam is helping to achieve this goal.
Polio is a potentially fatal infectious disease which still strikes children mainly under the age of five in countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. For more than 20 years, Rotary has led the private sector in the global effort to rid the world of this crippling disease.
De Zonnebloem (in English The Sunflower) is a Dutch charity that helps people with physical limitations caused by illness, age or a handicap. These are people for whom social contact and participation in society may not be a given.
